Move Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic is run by Ruth and Nic Edgar who have over 25 years experience of treating soft tissue and joint injuries across all age groups- and is based within the GP surgery at Chinley in the High Peak- If you require physiotherapy- you will receive a thorough assessment to identify the site and cause of your pain- from which Ruth will determine the best treatment for you in the form of manual therapy and soft tissue work- accompanied an individualised exercise programme to fit you and your lifestyle- The aim of the experience as a whole is to regain normal movement required for healing and pain relief- Nic is our Sports Massage therapist- He will provide a thorough assessment of your needs and determine the best massage techniques for you to improve flexibility and mobility- boost your immune system- and reduce pain and tension in your muscles- - Ruth Edgar is a Chartered Physiotherapist and is registered with the HCPC -Health and Care Professions Council-- She is also a qualified Acupuncturist and is registered with AXA PPP- AVIVA and other medical insurance companies- Nic Edgar is registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists- Conditions treated at Move Physiotherapy are- - Back and Neck conditions- - Any joint and soft tissue problems -shoulder pain- tennis elbow- knee pain etc- - Sports injuries - Arthritic pain relief Treatment may include manual therapy- trigger point therapy and massage- and acupuncture- Ruth can also carry out foot assessments for orthotics- Anybody with joint or soft tissue pain could benefit from physiotherapy- Ruth worked in the NHS for 8 years- but also worked for the Leicester Tigers Rugby Team for 9 years- She was also the chief medic for two charity walks- one by Jeremy Guscott -England and Bath rugby star- and the other by Phil Tufnell -England Cricketer and TV presenter--
