My underlying lifelong commitment is helping people- I started my career in the health care setting and I am a highly trained Registered Nurse and Midwife- I worked in a school nurse setting for 8 years- during which time I gained valuable experience in caring for children and young adults and providing pastoral and emotional support- alongside with medical care- It was during my nursing and midwifery posts that the desire was instilled within me to pursue a career in counselling- I do believe that training in bereavement counselling for CRUSE and working with young adults for the YMCA has been a natural path for me to follow- as I feel I have an innate ability and motivation to care for people who need support of this nature-
