Whether it be an inability to face the day ahead- a relationship that-s breaking down- the loss of a loved one- personal illness or one of the many other struggles that seem inseparable from the experience of being human- I believe that a safe space to talk about your life with an attentive- non-judgemental professional can be a crucial help in difficult times- For the last five years I have been working for a community focussed therapy service and I work primarily in North West London- I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy- I am accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and am bound by their code of ethics- Existential Psychotherapy is a style of therapy guided by Existential Philosophy rather than the more medical- illness vs- health- model of Psychology and other more prevalent therapies- In essence my method of practice is one that seeks to open you up to your own world through conversation- To put you in touch with what you-re experiencing moment to moment and to seek insight into why you see the world the way that you do- To reacquaint you with the choices that you might deny are open- This is a difficult process which is why I believe it must take place within the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship-
