The East West Taoist Association is a growing organisation offering T-ai Chi Chuan- Kung Fu- and Taoist health classes to a wide variety of students throughout the UK- The EWTA- which is located in Scarborough- was set-up in 1999 by chief instructor Howard Gibbon- who has many years experience in the Taoist Arts- Howard was one of the top students of the late Grandmaster Chee Soo- Enabling participants to improve their health and well-being- the organisation provides the general public with expert tuition in the Chinese health arts- based on Grandmaster Chee Soo-s teachings of the Lee Family style of T-ai Chi and Feng Shou Kung Fu --Hands of the Wind- a -soft-- fluid style of self defence-- The Lee Family Style also offers Qi Gong- Dao Yin breathing exercises- K-ai Men -Taoist Yoga-- staff- silk and sword forms- meditation and massage- so there is plenty to explore- The health and self defence systems- however- are taught separately to offer appropriate choices- Also offering online and also training DVDs and manuals- the overall teaching approach developed by Howard with assistance from his wife Gisela can be utilised for simple enjoyment- effective stress relief- or for the more in depth and unique path of self development which the serious practice of the Taoist Arts can offer- Available directly from Howard- online from East-West Publications -EWTA-s sister company-- or via the instructors- the training DVDs are specifically tailored to the needs of students of all stages and greatly enhance personal practice- The teacher training course is providing a team of ever growing qualified instructors- the East West Taoist Association is a continuously expanding -family-- trained to a high standard- The East West Taoist Association has a varied group of members in England- Scotland- Wales and abroad-
