I am a professional and experienced counsellor- accredited and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy working in Kinver- Stourbridge- I provide individual counselling to adults- young people and children aged 9 and over for a wide range of issues- Most people at some time in their lives experience emotional difficulties- but for some of us this can become so overwhelming that we might find it difficult to function- As a professional counsellor- my aim is to help you to find a way through your difficulties- I can work with a wide range of issues and life problems- including anxiety- depression- OCD- bereavement- anger- stress- family and relationship problems- self-harm and suicidal thoughts- I also work with children and young people where problems can be compounded as they may interrupt schooling and education- My qualifications and experience are as follows- - Higher Diploma - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy- - Advanced Diploma - Humanistic Counselling- Certificates in- - Anxiety and Depression- - Anger Management- - Brief Effective Psychotherapy- - Working with Eating Disorders- - Working with self-harm- - Supporting survivors of Sexual Abuse and Rape- - Child Protection- I have worked as a counsellor for over 11 years as a private practitioner- in schools- for charities and for Victim Support- I hold an up to date DBS -formerly CRB- certificate and am fully insured- Initial half-hour consultation - free of charge- no obligation- One hour sessions -40-00 thereafter- 15- discount for Public Services Personnel- Armed Forces- NHS and teachers- Shorter sessions offered for younger children at a reduced price-
